Men’s and Women’s Ministry

We recently combined our women’s, men’s and seniors’ ministries into one team to more effectively minister together for Christ. From this, came the Solid Rock Servants:

The Solid Rock Servants are a group of men and women grounded in God’s Word, living out the teachings of scripture, by reaching out to others through love. We honor the Lord by praying, supporting missionaries, and serving others, with a servant’s heart.

We support missionaries by encouraging our church to give financially, through various specified offerings, throughout the year. We also support missions and missionaries in many other ways as opportunities arise.

We serve our community as well. One way we do this, is by hosting a Thanksgiving dinner each year, for the clients of the area mental health associations. It is a time of praise and worship, praying and sharing the Love of God with those who are less fortunate. Afterward, we serve them a traditional Thanksgiving meal. In the spring, we also host a picnic, and provide haircuts and manicures to these very special guest. We are also doing other, smaller scale, ministry activities as the Lord provides them to us.

We routinely meet through the month for lunch.  During this time we pray for specific concerns in our community and church.
